Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her Winona in honor of her hometown. Michel Horowitz is her father and Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder's father is from the Jewish family. Ryder thinks she's Jewish. She is also half-sister to Sunyata Jubal. Her younger brother is Uria. At the age of seven, Ryder was just seven years old, her family moved into Mendocino County California. The family resided in an area without electric power. Ryder would read extensively due to the absence of television. Ryder was 12 when she took up a place at the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in 1983. In the year she turned 15years old, Ryder was offered her first acting job on screen, in Lucas. Ryder was bullied at high school. Her hope was that the acting profession would alter this. However, the plan didn't pan out. Still she continued pursuing her goals. In 1988, she received her big break in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder was able to continue playing characters that made a splash in a variety of films. In 1993, he was nominated two times for Academy Awards.
