Jeanie Marie Buss was born in America. She is the owner and director of Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss, who is originally from California was born into an extremely wealthy family. Jerry Buss' father was an investor in real estate and went on to own the Lakers as well as several other companies in the field of sports. Her parents divorced in 1972. separated together and she felt abandoned. At the age of 19 she started working in the family business. Later, she established an organization called the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. She served as the president of the Great Western Forum, before becoming the Vice President of the Lakers. Buss inherited her share of the Lakers through her father's estate in 2013. Her five siblings inherited it through a family trust. In 2013, Buss took over the presidency for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss has also been a owner of a portion of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling association).
